WHAT IS CULTURED MARBLE ?

Cultured Marble, Cultured Onyx and Cultured\ Cast Granite,

Are all made the same way with the only difference is the fillers used in the mixing of the matrix.
 
Cultured Marble

Matrix consists of polyester resin, an activator, limestone filler and appropriate color

pigments mixed together to achieve a consistent pouring blend.
 
Cultured Onyx

Matrix consists of polyester resin, an activator and a refined mineral base filler that

is translucent. These ingredients are blended together to make a consistent

workable pouring mix. The appropriate color pigments are added prior to pouring.
 
Cultured\ Cast Granite

Matrix consists of  polyester resin, an activator and a crushed polymer filler similar

to other solid surface materials primarily man made for kitchens. The appropriate

color pigments are added together to achieve a consistent blend of the mix.

Most Cultured Marble type products are all poured on fiberglass or stainless steel

molds of a depth of 3/ 8" for wall panels or 3/ 4" for tops and flat surfaces. All the

molds prior to pouring are generally sprayed with a clear Gel coat 20-25 Mills thick.

That clear nonporous Gel coated surface makes Cultured Marble type products

are excellent for BATHROOM ONLY  use.

Most Desired Qualities Are,

Minimum seams, no grout and nonporous full wall panels aid in the ease of

cleaning. Each wall panel is a water proof barrier. When sealed with 100%
